A lymph node is also on the back of the leg near the knee and if it is swollen that could be serious. How big is the lump on my Greyhound’s side?

My 9 year old greyhound has a golf-ball sized lump on his left side towards the bottom of his rib cage. It seems to be fluid in that it is very soft and can be pressed all the way down.
